HKBU visits Fapon in Shenzhen for in-depth discussions and exchanges on life sciences and AI

Mr Raymond Chan, Assistant Director (Entrepreneurship) of the Institute for Innovation, Translation and Policy Research at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), led a delegation of life sciences researchers and entrepreneurs to Fapon in Shenzhen. The visit aimed to conduct in-depth discussions and exchanges on life sciences and artificial intelligence, and to promote the translation of academic research into industrial applications.  
  
The group shared HKBU's strengths in life sciences, AI, and interdisciplinary translational research, emphasising the importance of turning academic findings into practical applications. Fapon shared its wealth of R&D expertise, particularly in the commercialisation of in vitro diagnostics technologies. 

The visit enhanced mutual understanding. Both sides will stay in contact to pursue future dialogue and knowledge sharing between academia and industry to advance life sciences and address global health challenges together.
