ITPR Networking Session: Inventing Connections

HKBU’s Institute for Innovation, Translation and Policy Research (ITPR) is committed to promoting the University’s scientific research and technology transfer, so as to expedite the application of University’s innovation to benefit society. To facilitate HKBU's start-ups in finding new development opportunities, the Institute actively connects with different industry partners to facilitate collaboration through various activities. On 1 March, ITPR hosted a networking session named “Inventing Connections” to connect angel investors and venture capitalists with HKBU’s startups at the campus for idea exchange and exploring opportunities for collaboration.

Prof. Terence Lau, HKBU Interim Chief Innovation Officer, delivered a welcome speech in the event. Mr Tobby Fu, Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship of ITPR, shared HKBU’s latest innovations, technology, and entrepreneurship development. Afterwards, HKBU startups including Prof. Furong Zhu of Crimson Vision Technology Limited, Prof. Simon Han of Hong Kong Authentication Centre of Valuable Chinese Medicine Limited, Dr Kangning Ren of MicroFlow Innovation Limited, Mr Terence Xu of Booguu Company Limited and Miss Kid Chan of Gihon Biotech Limited were invited to give a sharing on their services/products to the investors, laying the foundation for potential collaborations.
