Food Safety Consortium joins the WHO Alliance For Food Safety to strengthen capacity and collaboration for sustainable food

5 August 2026

Food Safety Consortium (FSC) has joined the WHO Allaince for Food Safety, a global network working to advance the implementation of the WHO Global Strategy for Food Safety 2022-2030 through collaboration, knowledge exchange, and coordinated action.

Ms Nelly Lam, Director of FSC and Assistant Director (Strategic Alliance and Promotion) of the Institute for Innovation and Translation at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), joined by Professor Terence Lau, Chairman of FSC and Interim Chief Innovation Officer of HKBU, introduced FSC and HKBU’s endeavours during the Alliance’s Annual General Meeting on 5 August.

We extend our sincere thanks to Dr Carmen Savelli and the World Health Organization team for this opportunity. Through research, innovation, education, and multi-sector partnerships, FSC and HKBU are committed to advancing food safety and contributing our expertise to the Alliance.

We look forward to working with fellow Alliance members and partners worldwide to strengthen capacity, foster knowledge exchange, and advance the shared vision of safe, sustainable, and healthy food systems for all.
